We take a focused and creative approach to marketing real estate. Our favorite hobby is saying “wouldn’t it be cool if...” and then making it happen.
We offer unique, customizable spaces. Convenient, modern properties that enhance every day life. We offer places where we would want to live. In fact, we do live in them.
We’ve been working at promoting adaptive reuse of historic buildings and waterfront property since 1988, and it’s been going very well. But we’ll let the facts do the talking.
We’re Michigan’s largest condo seller. In fact, we’re responsible for the two fastest selling real estate projects in Michigan in 2007 through 2009. Boardwalk is over 80% sold out in the first two years, and Union Square is 96% sold out in 3 years, selling a total of 376 condos in 3 years – in a depressed market. The product seems to sell itself. We doubled the record of condo closings in Grand Rapids (ever, by all companies) in 2007 and 2008. Imagine what sales, prices, and resales will be when the market comes back, like it always does!
We put Ren Zone tax benefits to work. Parkland Properties was responsible for selling 94% of the available Ren Zone condos in Grand Rapids, helping buyers keep more of their hard-earned money for themselves.
The properties we market have made great investments. Looking at the available info, it seems Union Square and Boardwalk condos have seen significant appreciation in the past, turning an average profit of $27,000- about 18% (in one year!), and continue to hold their value through this economic cycle.
The properties we promote strengthen local economy. For example, in downtown Grand Rapids, we brought in 830 new residents, contributing over $3 million annually to the area. We attracted small retail businesses to the city core, and Union Square was named as having the greatest impact on neighborhood revitalization. We are helping make long-term improvements to the landscape and skyline of downtown Grand Rapids.
We want to give back. We’ve been involved on community boards and steering committees, volunteered for speaking engagements and home tours. It’s pretty simple, really. We love where we live and want to make it a better place.
